Little Chem Chem
Little Chem Chem is a camp that is the right mix of old and new. It is near Lake Burunge and the north gate of Tarangire National Park. It is a wildlife lover’s dream because zebras, elephants, lions, and leopards (don’t worry, it’s safe!) roam freely around it.
The camp’s natural, simple design is made up of green, white, and brown tones that match the nearby landscapes and make you feel at one with nature. There are six fancy tents, and one of them is great for families because it has two beds and two bathrooms.
One child can also fit in a regular tent, though. Each tent has a king-sized bed, wooden furniture, a fan, a private porch with a sitting area, and two showers, one inside and one outside. The outside one has walls around it that keep it private but still let nature’s sounds and sights in. Don’t forget to take a shower under the stars—it will blow your mind!
After that, the camp has free WiFi, spa services, an eating tent with an outdoor area, a lounge tent, and a petanque court. The best part, though, is the water hole right in front of the camp, where many animals come to drink and bathe. A great spot to relax after a tour!
Note: Because the area is not closed in, the camp only takes kids aged 8 and up. The camp is watched over by guards 24 hours a day, but parents of bigger children must always be with them. Only if the camp is hired entirely can younger kids come.
