The Selous River Camp is located on the Rufiji River, right next to the Julius Nyerere National Park. Along the river, you can sleep in traditional “mudhuts” with thatched roofs and private baths. As you drift off to sleep, you can hear hippos honking in the water and bush babies calling in the trees above you. The swimming pool, sun terrace, bar, and eating area by the river finish off the picture. The area looks especially beautiful at dusk, when the sun turns orange, pink, and purple.
