Serengeti Mara River Camp by Karibu Camps & Lodges. Not far from the famous Mara River is the Serengeti River Camp, which is set in the northern Serengeti among acacia trees and green fields. This camp has 10 rooms, some with two beds and some with one. It is conveniently located near the river where the wildebeest cross during the long dry season from July to October.

The tent rooms on stone platforms are furnished in a classic style with brown and wooden tones and black-and-white photos on the walls. The bathroom is very nice and the netted four-poster bed is very comfortable. The deck has the most beautiful view. After a day of following the herds across the river (if you were lucky!), this is the perfect place to relax with a hot shower, a dinner of fresh, tasty food, and a good night’s sleep in a soft bed under a pretty wooden roof.
