How to Get a Visa

How much does it cost to get a Tanzania visa?
You need a visa to go to Tanzania.

Are you from Britain? If you apply ahead of time, the fee is 40 GPB.

It costs fifty US dollars or fifty Euros in Tanzania, which is strange because fifty Euros are worth more than fifty US dollars. It is what it is! So, if you want to apply for a visa when you get to Tanzania, bring dollars with you because it costs less that way.

Are you a citizen of the US? Then you need to pay $100 USD for a visa that lets you enter the country more than once.

Getting a visa for Tanzania is easy. Just click on this link: https://visa.immigration.go.tz/. This is the only link that comes from the Tanzanian government. Please keep in mind that you can’t get visas through embassies after January 2, 2020.

Get a visa when you get to Tanzania:

What do you do if you want to get a visa in your own country? To get a visa, you need to go to a certain counter when you get to one of Tanzania’s airports if you didn’t do it online before your trip. It is pretty easy to apply. The only thing that determines how long it takes is how many people are at the airport. Depending on how rich you are, you might still have to wait in line for 20 minutes even if you’re one of the first people off the plane and into the airport.

Even when it’s not busy, it can take an hour.

Think about this, especially if you are traveling during the busy season, because it’s never fun to have to wait for hours to get your visa after a long trip.

Of course, most people want to be prepared so that they don’t waste any time when they get there. We agree! Plus, a lot of people travel during the busy season, and you never know how many passes will be needed at the last minute. It’s safer to be safe than sorry, especially if you have kids with you.
