A trip to the beach and a safari: is this your dream vacation?
A trip to Zanzibar
A dream vacation would be a trip to the warm island of Zanzibar. The beaches and coral reefs on this wealth island are the most beautiful in the world. The Indian Ocean is right there, with its clear blue waves and miles and miles of white sand beaches lined with palm trees. Aside from its laid-back beach life, Zanzibar has a rich past and culture. You should definitely go to Stone Town. This interesting old city has a lot of nice markets, restaurants, and historical sites to see.
Part of the Zanzibar region is Zanzibar Island. Other islands in the group are Pemba, Mafia, and many smaller ones. The spice trade has a long history on these islands, which is why they are also known as the Spice Islands. After a trek, these beaches are great places to wash off the dirt.
Beaches in Zanzibar
Zanzibar has the most beautiful beaches in the world. There are soft, white sand beaches with clear, colorful coral reefs all around them in the Indian Ocean. The island of Zanzibar has about 25 beaches and fishing towns spread out around them. Which side of Zanzibar should you go to? The south or the east? To the north?
North:
The north and east coasts of Zanzibar have the best beaches. They all have white sand and colorful coral reefs. One of the best beaches is Nungwi and Kendwa, which don’t have to deal with high and low waves. There are many restaurants, bars, and places to stay, and the vibe is laid-back. To get real peace and quiet, you should go to a different part of the island, like the east or south. Weedy towns like Uroa, Pongwe, Kiwengwa, Nungwi, and Kendwa are in the north.
East:
The most beautiful beaches are on the east coast of the island. A beautiful coral reef goes along the eastern coast. It is one of the best places in the world to snorkel and dive. Marine life is very rich, and you can get close to sea horses, turtles, and many tropical fish. These beaches on the east coast are very wet. You can walk on the beach and look out at the ocean when the tide is low. This is the place to be if you like wind or kite riding. The longest and one of the most beautiful beaches on this part of the island is Matemwe. There are many places to stay, just like in the north.
South-East:
Long stretches of soft sand beaches are what this part of the island is known for. Because the winds are always strong, it is the best place on the island to sail, kite surf, or windsurf. A dhow is a traditional wooden sailboat that you can use to sail the water. You can also swim with dolphins at Kizimkazi (south). Little towns like Jambiani, Paje, and Bwejuu can be found here. There is a nice sense of timelessness in these small fishing villages, and the people are very friendly. Jambiani is one of our favorite towns. Find out why we think Zanzibar’s Jambiani is the best place to be.
South-West:
The south west coast is a little farther away, and there are fewer hotels and empty beaches there. There aren’t as many people at the beaches in the west and south of Zanzibar, but they are beautiful and have calm waves. Tenia Bay Conservation Area is a must-see if you’re in the south. Divers can see a beautiful world below the surface. Old Stone Town, the culture and historical center of Zanzibar, is on the western coast and is very interesting.

The best time to go to Zanzibar is
The dry season, which lasts from June to October and December to February, is when most people want to visit Zanzibar. But Zanzibar Island is a great place to go to the beach any time of the year. It’s still beautiful in the middle of March, April, May, and November, even though it rains a lot. The showers only last 30 minutes, and the temperature stays around 28 C. Averaging 28 C, February is Zanzibar’s hottest month. July, on the other hand, is its coolest (24 C). Zanzibar is always a good time to visit because of its warm weather.
Hotels in Zanzibar
There are many lodges, hotels, and spas in Zanzibar. It has everything from very simple lodging to the most luxurious ones. Tanzania Zanzibar Safari knows a lot about places to stay in Zanzibar, so you can always ask us for help. We like the small bed and breakfast hotels on the island because they feel more personal. The staff is really nice and will do everything they can to make sure you have a great time. One more good thing about bed and breakfasts is that you can go out to other places and bars during the day and night. Along with great food and drinks, there are many great places to eat and drink with lovely ocean views.
Review of Zanzibar vacations
“The island of Zanzibar is wonderful and lovely.” The Zanzibari people, where I stayed in the town of Jambiani, are so warm and friendly. They’re always happy to talk. It’s so pretty there—the beaches, spice farms, woods, and small towns. I can only think of one bad thing: there aren’t any museums. But then again, I might not have gone to the right spots. The island has a lot of nice bars and restaurants where you can dance and eat tasty Eastern or Western food.

When you go to Tanzania, you shouldn’t miss the chance to go to Zanzibar, a great beach town. It’s heaven, and what a great way to end your trip. The beaches on the east side of the island are beautiful, which is where we stayed. There aren’t any loud beach boys, so the beaches are pretty quiet. At a few places, we’ve had tasty seafood for a fair price.
